Understanding what is happening to your body in pregnancy and during the birth process will give you the confidence and self-belief to birth your baby naturally. It will assist you and your partner to participate fully with health professionals in choices and decisions that concern you and your baby. Remember this is your pregnancy, your birth and your baby.
Pregnancy and birth experiences are all different. Even when a birth experience differs from hopes and expectations, it can and should still be a Positive Birth experience because a woman and her partner have been confident that the right decisions have been made at the right time. This experience enhances the prospects of an early Positive Parenting experience and beyond, helping to build assurance, confidence and enjoyment in parenthood.
Positive Birth antenatal courses provide women and men with the confidence and self-belief they need for labour, birth and parenting. My approach to antenatal education is based firmly on the belief that you and your partner are the best possible people to make choices and decisions regarding your birth and baby. My courses provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to support each other both as the birth of your baby approaches and into the parenting period. Experience shows that long-lasting social networks and mutual support networks are a very important ongoing benefit of the antenatal classes.
Positive Birth antenatal classes and individual one to one sessions aim to be informative, interactive, enjoyable and fun (please see testimonials). They are available to prospective parents in Kent and East Sussex.
